2022 Ram 3500 Overview

What's New For 2022?

There are a few notable upgrades for the 2022 Ram 3500. The Uconnect 5 infotainment system has been updated for easier touchscreen controls and access to certain features, while a Silver Star special edition can be added to the Big Horn setup. Some new option packages give you more versatility when customizing your Ram 3500, while some available features provide greater levels of visibility when towing a huge trailer.

Performance and Technology

The three available engines are all strong enough to deliver high-end, heavy-duty capabilities in your new Ram 3500. You'll start with a standard 6.4-liter V-8, worth 410 horsepower with 429 pound-feet of torque. From there, a couple versions of a 6.7-liter turbodiesel six-cylinder deliver either 370 horsepower with 850 pound-feet of torque, or the range-topping 420 horsepower with 1,075 pound-feet of torque. It's with that higher-grade turbodiesel that the Ram 3500 tops out with an amazing 37,100-pound tow rating. When properly configured, the payload rating is 4,230 pounds. A 4x4 system is also available.

While most of your focus will be on your new Ram 3500's capabilities for towing and hauling, you'll still have a nice standard infotainment touchscreen, with plenty of options for upgrades in higher trims. It's easy to add driver aids like forward collision mitigation, adaptive cruise control and a surround-view camera system.
